RipBot264 is a simple but effective encoding app that will help you render your videos in different formats.
This makes RipBot264 the perfect app for putting videos on portable devices, for example, but with one proviso: you need to know a bit about encoding to get the most out of it, and we don't recommend it for beginners.
RipBot264 is very mush a homemade program. There's nothing wrong with that - it handles lots of encoding profiles and options, batch operations, and works fast and smoothly - but it can be a little rough around the edges, and needs several codecs pre-installed. If you don't already have them, you'll need to download them separately, as instructed by RipBot264.
Once you have RipBot264 up and running, it's easy to use and at least as user-friendly as the majority of similar programs out there. Add the video file (or files), tweak the encoding options, and leave RipBot264 to do its job. It's not spectacularly fast, but it does get the job done. It's fully set up for batch operations, and there are plenty of helpful options in this area.
Overall, we'd recommend RipBot264 if you are comfortable with encoding apps and you know you don't need too many fancy extras. If you're not, we'd recommend a more user-friendly video conversion option, like Format Factory or Sothink Free Video Converter. This will make the job much easier for beginners.
Need simple batch conversion and encoding? Know what you're doing? Then RipBot264 is for you!
